Welcome to 1st Upperthong Brownies!
Brownies are part of the Girl Guiding Association and
are an all female group for girls aged 7-10.
Our pack is based in Upperthong which is nestled
in the picturesque hills of the Holme Valley
We meet once a week in the village hall during school term time, where we have lots of fun doing lots of different activities from crafts to bike riding as well as singing songs and playing games
Brownies is a great way to make new friends from different schools as we have girls from a number of schools around the Valley

Every year to celebrate another great year at Brownies we go to the golf driving range
The girls love having little competitions to see who can hit their ball the furthest
Even the leaders had fun
In November we made beautiful fireworks pictures from glue & glitter
We also made a poppy wreath out of bun cases in memory of those who lost their lives

Every year Upperthong Village have a Scarecrow Festival, this year we entered it for the first time.
We made two 'Brownies', we didn't win anything but the girls loved making them.
